Gary Collins announced as one of the first speakers of the Screen International’s UK Film Finance Forum.

The first speakers have been confirmed for Screen International’s UK Film Finance Forum taking place at Everyman Broadgate in London on December 5, 2019. Gary Collins, CEO of Red Rock Entertainment, Dominic Buchanan,  Samantha Perahia, head of production UK for the British Film Commission; Phil Hunt & Tim Haslam,  The event will give attendees a detailed analysis of the challenges facing and opportunities available to producers in the fast-changing landscape of film and high-end TV finance in the UK.

Larry Lamb gives an in-depth interview with the Daily Mail.

Larry recently finished filming Brighton, a film based on a Steven Berkoff play. ‘It’s about two couples who’ve known each other since they were teenagers. ‘They’re all in their late 60s and 70s going to Brighton for the day and moaning about everything that’s changed. In parallel, you see them as youngsters.’ Larry plays Derek, a ‘rough old cockney geezer’, with his wife Dinah played by Marion Bailey, who came on set straight from playing the Queen Mother for the latest series of The Crown. ‘Talk about one extreme to the other!’ he laughs.

The Gavin & Stacey actor was due to appear on the final day of the festival for the premiere of his new film Brighton.’ The festival’s director, Mac Chakaveh, confirmed that a ‘family tragedy’ had forced the 72-year-old actor to ‘cancel at the last minute. Larry was thoroughly looking forward to attending the festival and was very disappointed he couldn’t attend.

The World Premiere of Brighton at the Marbella Film Festival a comedy directed by Stephen Cookson. The film, based on a day trip to the Brighton  seaside turns horribly wrong, stars Phil Davis, Marion Bailey and Lesley Sharp. It also stars Larry Lamb who will be on the red carpet at the premiere along with the director.Another event which will be of interest to festival attendees occurs on the 6th of October, when actor and radio presenter Larry Lamb delivers his workshop on acting.
