Gary Collins, CEO OF Red Rock Entertainment, judge and speaker at The JETS Initiative at Berlinale Film Festival

Gary Collins, CEO of Red Rock Entertainment was honoured to be a guest speaker and judge at The JETS Initiative (Junior Entertainment Talent Slate) for 1st, 2nd and 3rd feature filmmakers which was founded by William Peschek von WEP Productions & WEP UK Productions.

The international jury consisted of four countries Canada, Germany, Ireland and UK where filmmakers pitched 20 projects in front of the jury. The host for the venue this year was the Canadian Embassy in Berlin.

The four winners received project development/financing assistance from some of the participating jury members: John Keville & Mark Noonan, feature film project  “Tyger Tyger“ (Ireland),  Sara Huxley & April Kelly , feature film project, “Love, Sex & Killing“ (UK),  Jessica Adams & Shelagh McLeod , feature film project, “The Competition” (Canada) and  Julia Dordel & Guido Tölke, feature film project, “Ruides“ (Germany)

The event was funded by FFA – Germany, Telefilm Canada, ifb – Irish Film Board, FFF-Bayern, HessenFilm and Nordmedia. With further support by the Young Producers’ Association E.V., Directors UK, Ludwig Kameraverleih, and the Government of Canada  – Trade Commissioner Service.

Gary was asked to speak at the second Jets event held at the British Embassy in Berlinale; he discussed the film business, his roles and experiences as an executive producer he then had a QA session with the audience. Gary Collins “It was an honour to be a guest speaker and judge at both Jets events.”
